3 Days in Mexico

March 22, 2016

So we moved halfway around the world and are all finally feeling settled in.  Sky has spring break and D has a day off from work and what do we do?  We go to Mexico!
We found a cute little house to rent in town, D packed up his kitesurfing gear and away we went.

Packing for Mexico!

March 16, 2016

We are headed for Mexico this weekend and it's time to pack!  I'm so excited to be traveling again and am really looking forward to exploring Puerto Penasco. We found a house to rent and are planning to spend most of our time at the beach.  D is hoping to get in some kite surfing and he'll be taking Sky and Fire out on a whale watching trip but other than that, we don't have any real plans.
It's the night before we leave and after making sure that I've packed enough formula, all the goggles, and every different kind of diaper (so many!), I need to pack for myself.  What does a mother of four young children wear on a beach vacation when anything can happen?

Playing Catch Up

March 14, 2016

Wow, we've been so busy I haven't even been able to find the time to blog!  It sounds naive but I really thought I'd have at least a little more time for myself during the day once I became a stay-at-home-mom but it turns out that there's always something that needs to be done, even before everyone is up in the morning.
The house is finally set up and we're hitting our stride in this American life so I'm going to try a little harder to carve out time for this blog again.  I love being able to share our lives with our family out of state and to connect with other blogger through this venue.

Here's a slice of what our life has been like while the blog has been quiet:

We headed to Rodeo Days at the Clubhouse:

Sky and Fire loved the petting zoo but even the chicks terrified Water

Just as I convinced D to get rid of this hideous wine rack, Water found a better use for it

Food!  We love food!  Earth is eating so much already and love it all.

Family coloring time

Sitting practice is hard!

The car cart + donut = an easy grocery trip

Getting creative with pink hair

A trip to the pool

Our Easter eggs- I didn't get any pictures taken while the kids were dying them- too busy trying to keep the table clean (mom fail- forgot to put down newspaper first)

Whew!  That's a lot.  Hopefully now that we're a bit more settled in, I can get back to blogging regularly.  I miss posting here when I can't find the time.  So, that's us.  How have you been?

Tucson Children's Museum

March 1, 2016

Sky had a day off of school last week so we made plans to meet friends at the Tucson Children's Museum.  One of the reasons we moved back to the States was to be able to take the kids to new and different places more often, and we'd heard really good things about the Children's Museum in Tucson.

We got downtown before the museum opened so we hit a 24 hour coffee shop for a treat
