Last Day of School!
We made it through another school year! Sky has finished 1st grade and Fire completed Pre-K. This last month was a busy one and we're all ready for a fun summer break, full of pool time, play time, a summer camps.
Sky's first day of school
Sky's last day of school
Sky won a Paw medal from her school for her animal report and diorama
and an award for good grades at the end-of-the-year assembly.
Fire's first day of Pre-K
Fire's last day of Pre-K
With Fire's speech delays, we weren't sure he was going to qualify for Kindergarten but thanks to all his teachers' hard work, he's ready. We've been told they do sibling matching here, which means that he'll have the same Kindergarten teacher that Sky had. Mrs. H was great with Sky so I can't wait to see how Fire does in her class.
To celebrate the last day of school, I took the kids out to McDonald's for cookies and juice
(Sky ate hers so she wouldn't have to smile for me!)
Are your kids done with school? Are you ready for summer?

Woohoo for the end of school!!!
ReplyDeleteYes! (The funny thing is that I'll be saying "Woohoo for the end of summer!" in a few months, too!)
DeleteDon't know if you care, but your daughters full name is showing on her Excellence Award. Just an FYI if you wanted to blur it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing that out. I did know but didn't have the time to crop it. I'll fix that as soon as I can :)
DeleteCute pics! I love looking at pictures of my kids to compare how they looked at the beginning and end of the school years...it's amazing how much they change in only 9 months! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Home Matters Link Party, hope to see you again next week:) #HomeMattersParty
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Sara! Comparison pictures are some of my favorites too. We do the ones at the beginning and end of the school year and we also take them for each of the kids family day (adoption day). I love to see how they grow and change in each picture!
