Playing Catch-Up and Some Big News

Whew!  Things are crazy around here, friends.  While everyone is adjusting really well to the new baby and the added demands he necessarily puts on our lives, to me at least, it feels like everyone needs something from me all the time and all at the same time. But that's life, my life, and I love it.
Earth has made the transition to our family beautifully and we are slowly getting each other figured out.  He sleeps better if he's well swaddled and if there's a night light on.  He only like one specific kind of pacifier and prefers to be held sitting up so he can see things.   Sky and Fire argue over who gets to hold him and Water hasn't acted out towards Earth at all.  I know this might just be the honeymoon period but I'll take it and hope that it keeps going.
It has been a hassle and half to get Earth's adoption paperwork in order but it finally is and we've been told that our hearing will be on Ebeye on Tuesday.  Cross your fingers and say a prayer for us that everything goes smoothly!

Water is a little jealous that Earth gets a bottle and he doesn't but he loves to help feed the baby

and sometimes, both our babies need their bottles and cuddles.

D getting some nap time with his new boy

My last season playing soccer ended with our team taking second place to the high school girls' Varsity team. I've played on the same team for the last five years and I have loved every minute of my time with these women.   They've cheered for me, both on and off the field and I'm so lucky to have had them on my team, in every sense of the word.

Like every kid in America, Sky and Fire (or should I say IronMan and Elsa the Fairy Princess)  are super excited for Halloween:

I've always loved Halloween but it's so much more fun now that my kids are old enough to enjoy it too.

And the big news...

We're moving to Tucson!
I've been dancing around the subject of a move for the last three months and I'm so glad I can finally share our news with you.  Because our work and home lives are so intertwined here on Kwaj, I couldn't say anything until D had committed to the new job and we had given our formal notice at this one.
We've bought a house:
and are slowly making the preparations needed to relocate.

New baby, new town, new job.
Go big or go home, right?
I think we're doing both right now!

    1. It was such a sweet moment! D was standing up and feeding Earth and Water started pulling at him and crying to be picked up, so D sat down and I handed him Water's morning milk and D cuddled both his little boys.
