Our Little Artist

 I found a recipe for home made sidewalk paint the other day and decided to make some for Sky.  I was going to be grilling most of our dinner and thought this would be fun for her, since we would be outside for a while.

And it was.  Except when Mama made her stop painting on herself. 

And eventually, I just let her paint what she wanted, including herself.  The only rule: no painting the bikes (the water would make them rust faster)

 She had fun, used up some engery, and got pretty creative. 

D's always saying she's going to be an artist when she grows up and I think he's onto something:

I'm probably the last person in the US to come across this home made paint recipe, but here it is, in case you lost your copy:

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/4 cup water

food coloring

muffin tin

Mix the water and cornstarch together until blended.  Pour into muffin cups (one batch of paint fills two regular muffin cups).  Dye paint to desired color with 8 drops of food coloring per muffin cup (or 4 of each to make mixed colors).
