We Have a Reader!
I couldn't find Sky on the playground after school yesterday and when I did, my heart just about burst with happiness
It was just like seeing myself 30 years ago: hiding away on a playground and lost in a book
Sky's been able to read for since the beginning of first grade but in the last couple weeks she's really dived into books. I'm so happy to see her falling in love with reading because it opens so many doors for a person. You can learn anything and everything from books and they are the best escape you can find.
Her current favorite is the Magic Tree House series but she also likes the Fancy Nancy early chapter books. We've started reading "The Mixed Up Files of Mrs Basil E Frankweiler" and I'm going to unpack my Ramona Quimby books and the little house on the prairie series for her.
She finished her book before dinner and dove right into another one- be still my heart!
