Catching Up: Picking Peaches
Arizona isn't really known for farming but fruit and nut trees do well here and earlier this summer we drove up to Wilcox to pick peaches.
The kids alternated between riding in the wagon and racing ahead to find trees with ripe fruit
Of course, we at a few as we went
All the kids had fun and we came home with tons of yummy peaches
I spent the rest of the weekend cutting, peeling, and freezing peaches so that we'll have that taste of summer just a little bit longer. I also made double batch of peach bread and grilled some with sausage and spicy barbecue sauce.
