Santa Comes to Kwajalein
How does Santa come to a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? This year, he came by helicopter!
After Santa and Mrs Claus landed, there was a parade to downtown that included the high school marching band,
Santa and Mrs Claus on an industrial trailer with the high school seniors (because Kwaj)
and then a golf cart and truck parade.
Earth's favorite? The wrecker all decked out for the holidays.
Once the parade reaches downtown, there's a show with musicians and dancers
(I was stage-managing the show and D was managing the kids so this is the only picture we have of it)
Once the performances finish, the garrison and range commanders make short speeches and then they push the button that lights the island Christmas tree
(Of course, it's a coconut tree!)
