My Pet Peeve
Why is D in the corner? Because he didn't listen to Mama! My biggest pet peeve is when I think I'm being ignored. If you heard me and either chose not to respond or did something other than what I asked, I get pretty mad. If I have to ask you to do something more than three times, you get a time out.
This picture was taken on D's birthday last year. He ignored my question and didn't do what I asked him to so I gave him a time out. Unfortunately for him, since we have time out's base on age, he was turning 38 which meant that he was going to have to sit in the corner for 38 minutes! D was making such a sad face about it that Fire ran over and sat in his daddy's lap to make him feel better.
Haha!! Oh I wish I could put my husband in time outs! At least he had some cute company there :)
ReplyDeleteIt was really funny to see how sad Fire got when he saw D pretending to be sad! He ran right over there to him. Sky was kind of sad that D didn't have to stay in his timeout for the whole time though- we let him out early for good behavior :)

ReplyDeleteAlthough, tbh sometimes I wish I could go in time-out for a break!
I actually did have to put myself in timeout once- behaviors were exploding from one of my kids and I just wasn't in a good place to deal with them. Five minutes in my room by myself gave me time to come up with some more patience and a solution. On the funnier side, I have let Sky put me in time-out once for not listening to me. Fair's fair, right?
